Happy Birthday To Me

As a couple of you may know, last Friday, October 5th was my 15th birthday, and in light of this event, I thought I should reflect upon 15 years out of the womb. I have been an independent organism for 15 years, and alive for about 15 and a half give or take a month or two. That means I have existed independentely for 5,478 days, 131,400 hours, and 473,040,000 seconds, all of those give or take a few because of exact time (about 8:30 PM on October 5th of 1992 I'm told). Those facts might seem amazing (maybe because I took the time to find them), but what astonished me was that, assuming I live to the age of about 75, my life is 1/5 over. What a drag. Not only that, but I am halfway to 30, three-fourths of the way to 20, a third of the way to 45, and a fourth of the way to sixty. I've been here for a decade and a half. I was 8 when the 90's were over, but for some strange reason, I miss them. I was a toddler when Croatia regained independence, but I probably know more about it than most adults in America. There will never be another October 5th, 2007 again. I think people take for granted that every second in time is completely unique, just like every person born in that second. I'm gonna miss 14. People say that time flies, but not for me. I've always thought it went rather slow.
